The children of Jill’s House are very special. They are sweet, sassy, energetic and beautiful. They have parents, grandparents and siblings that care for them daily. The staff at Jill’s House is blessed to be able to assist in meeting their needs for times of respite.
There are many folks who contribute to this care - volunteers, organizations, businesses - that underwrite the cost. Last Saturday at the Ritz-Carlton Tysons, a celebration of these children took place. The fundraiser was a wonderful event to highlight these special children and to increase the funding for Jill’s House.
Entertainment was provided by GENTRI and Sony recording artist Lexi Walker - up and coming artists who are blessed musicians. They were accompanied by The Worship Orchestra of Washington with Ben Roundtree conducting. Over $700,000 was raised for Jill’s House.
I Do Photography Inc. (Randy Wyant and Susan Wyant) are the official photographers for Jill’s House and were blessed to be sponsors of the event. Hosted by Scott Thuman of ABC7, it was a wonderful time to hear the Riley’s speak of their son and Brenda Solomon share Jill’s story.
Jill’s House is an amazing place of respite for these special needs children. We have been blessed to photograph there and see the interactions of the staff with the children. Always loving, caring and full of fun! The children are treated to a Disney-like experience every visit. Please consider sponsoring a child for a night or more.
