Well that is what the 11th Anniversary Ride for Jill's House is for us and for hundreds of motorcycle riders when we participate in this ride. It started in Manassas at the Prince William campus of McLean Bible Church, went to Aldie and then to the MBC Tysons campus. All the fun was to raise funds to empower kids with intellectual disabilities.
Randy and I have had the privilege to photograph most of the eleven rides - we just love the cause and the event! Starting with a Chick-Fil-A breakfast (who doesn’t love Chick-Fil-A?), raffle tickets, lots of camaraderie and vests with patches and did I mention LOTS of bikes to check out - it is just the epitome of FUN!
A huge thank you to all the sponsors and the riders, Jill’s House staff and ride organizer Joe Livingood for making this all happen. And let’s recognize the police escorts from multiple jurisdictions who were of great assistance during the ride.
Most of all, it was a win for all the special children and their parents that benefit from the short term overnight respite stays at Jill's House. The care that they receive there is first class and requires much financial support. Events like The Ride provide more overnights for these children. This event raised over $110,000 in critical revenue so kids with intellectual disabilities can have a special place that celebrates them and uplifts their families.
If you weren't able to participate in the ride or still want to donate, it's not too late. CLICK HERE!
