Where can you find children that are sweet, full of energy, beautiful and energetic? At Jill’s House, where the children are all very special. So are their parents, grandparents and siblings who care for them daily. The staff at Jill’s House is blessed to be able to assist in meeting their needs for times of respite.
There are many folks who contribute to this care - volunteers, organizations, businesses - that underwrite the cost. Last Saturday at the Ritz-Carlton Tysons, a celebration of these children took place. The fundraiser was a wonderful event to highlight these special children and to increase the funding for Jill’s House.
Entertainment was provided by Kaitlyn Maher - a wonderful rising vocalist and Denyce Graves, an internationally known opera singer. They were accompanied by The Worship Orchestra of Washington with Ben Roundtree conducting.
I Do Photography Inc. (Randy Wyant and Susan Wyant) are the official photographers for Jill’s House and were blessed to be one of the sponsors of the event. Hosted by Chris Stirewalt and Shannon Bream of FOX news, it was a wonderful time to listen to Russell and Elaine Shilling speak of their two sons who regularly go to Jill's House and to hear Brenda Solomon share Jill’s story.
Jill’s House is an amazing place of respite for these special needs children. We have been blessed to photograph there and see the interactions of the staff with the children. Always loving, caring and full of fun! The children are treated to a Disney-like experience every visit. Please consider sponsoring a child for a night or more.
